My favourite Friday Etsy find!

I have sold a few thinks on Etsy lately, special thanks to those who made "pink" purchases, they where mostly from Australia too! So I purchased this for myself and I love it! Thank-you so much Alaiyna B! It is much daintier in real life, I have been wearing it, but Grace loves to grab it, so I will have to save it for special occasions. Have a great weekend! Leah

A Winner!

Harry takes everything literally, so here are all of your names in his hat! he scrunched them all up into little balls.

Our winner! Congratulations!! If you send me an email with your postal address, I will post out the buttons asap. Thanks so much to everybody who left comments. I will have another giveaway very soon.

I will leave you with the page that I created last night, 2 of my sweet little nieces, aren't they cute?? I also created 2 cards, I will share them tomorrow, have a great day! Leah

I "plan" to scrap!

I have been looking through my photos because I really want to print some and scrap them. I'm feeling tired and these 2 photos just reminded me of what happens when I try to scrap during daylight hours!! So maybe tonight. We are going to Harry's school for lunch today, a helicopter will be landing to judge the school grounds for a prize. The winner for my little blog giveaway will be drawn tonight, so you still have time to enter. Stay tuned for the winner (and I hope some scrapping!) tomorrow. Leah

A new Guinea Pig and a Hair cut!

Not a great photo of Jack with food all over his face and teeth, Harry took this one with our new Guinea pig "Stripey" Squeakie didn't have any babies after all, so we got her a new friend. Now if you look at the top of the photo, you will see part of Jack's new hair cut, yes, he did it himself!! Hope that you are having a great weekend, the weather is terrible here, so much hot wind and dust!! Leah

Friday's favourite

I know, it's the same artist that I posted for my last Friday favourite, but this time she has used my buttons! Check out Liza's blog http://lillybuds.blogspot.com/ if you scroll down the page you will see the little package that she purchased from me. I love crochet flowers, so this bouquet really is a favourite of mine! You can still be in the running to win some chenille covered buttons if you leave a comment in my previous giveaway post. Thanks so much to the people who have already left comments. Have a great weekend, we have lots of "around the house" things planned. Leah

I love this!

this is what I plan to do with our cot after Grace has finished with it, such a gorgeous blog post! Don't forget to enter my little giveaway in the previous post, I love the button bracelet idea! I might try one! I'll be back with some pictures to share soon! Thanks for stopping by, Leah

Miniature stitching and gardening

This is a little garden of alpine plants. In the middle is a viola and to the left, a miniature aquilegia. It's only about 15 cm tall. There is a cushiony patch of moss and at the back, a tiny climber which I'm told will flower in red and black!

It's looking a bit fragile at the moment - hopefully a bit of tlc will bring it round.

Here we are a couple of weeks on. The aquilegia is flourinshing! All that this scene needs is a tiny little house, don't you think?

Yes, I am a bit obsessed with making little houses. Probably because I long for a house of my own. So here is a little house ornament, complete with embroidered flower garden.

I have plans for a series of these. Maybe even some larger freestanding houses... but first I have to finish off the hundred and one projects clamouring for attention!

Including this - the tinyland firescreen, currently about 3/4 complete.

More finished projects soon... promise!

My first blog GIVEAWAY!

It's only small, I've been meaning to do this for a long time! I have some Christmas giveaways in mind, but it's just a bit early yet! So if you leave a comment after this post I will randomly draw a winner next Tuesday. These buttons would be great for scrapbooking! I save every tiny piece of chenille and love covered buttons! If you leave a comment, you could add some other ideas, I love bobby pins so I've tried those with covered buttons, fridge magnets are another favourite of mine. Good luck, I hope to get a few more ideas from you! Leah

A gorgeous weekend

Well, we travelled 600km to the Royal Childrens Hopspital for an appointment that took no more than 5mins!! But that's good because it means that our little Grace is perfectly healthy and her lip has healed very well. here is a pic of my youngest 2 babies at a lavender farm that we visited yesterday, it was closed so we just had a walk in the gorgeous gardens and I had to take some photos, as I now have even more scrapping supplies. Most of them are from Nicole We met Nicole at Paperific, she was very busy and had a wonderful booth! I bought some of Petrina's designs, can't wait to use them! On Sunday we visited some little craft and vintage stores that even my husband enjoyed!! Two of the store owners took my etsy business card and said they would have a look at buying some of my chenille items, I sold 4 "pink" items from my store while I was away too! Hope that you had a great weekend! Leah

Pretties from Tamsin Cooper

It's hard to stick to a budget when Tamsin Cooper is having a sale. Look at these pretties:

Silk and velvet and beads oh my. But at up to 50% off they are almost reasonable...

catching up

We all feel sad today, our visitors are on their way home to N.Z. I did take lots of photos, I will share some one day soon. Here is a card I recently scrapped for Craft Queen. We are off to Melbourne on Thursday night, so I will be meeting Nicole
in person at Paperific on Friday, that's something that I'm looking forward to! I have lots to catch up on, bye for now, Leah

scrapping for craft queen

A boy page for Craft Queen this time, everything on this page can be purchased from http://www.craftqueen.com.au/ and check out this tallented Craft Queen scrapper! http://designedbypetrinamcdonald.blogspot.com/ Congratulations Petrina!! Well I hope you spent some time relaxing over the weekend, just like my Harry in this layout! Leah

Lolly colours

Some days, you just feel like painting rocks. Usually they are the days when you should be doing ten other things like the dishes, planting out seedlings, finishing a project with a looming deadline or organising your next project with a looming deadline, but instead you pull out some nice round rocks and put some coats of paint on them.

Then you paint them with little scenes of birdies and cupcakes and houses.

When they are dry you add some finishing touches to sparkle and captivate...

Then you spray with several coats of clear varnish. Because you are hasty the spray goes on too thick, and doesn't dry properly. Then it smudges and you realise you have to repaint some details. Damn.

So you repaint, respray and this time everything is perfect.

And then you have a pile of brightly painted, lolly coloured rocks to sell at the market next month.

Favourite on a Saturday

I got busy and didn't post a favourite for Friday, I was thinking about it! So here it is, (love it!) Liza is an Aussie artist too! http://www.lillybuds.com/ This lady has an Etsy store and will be opening a Lollipops store too, very exciting! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Leah

scrapping

check out this site!!http://www.bydonovan.com/templates.html fantastic inspiration!! I really love the little dress cards, I plan to make one today. Last night I started to pack away my piles of fabric, trims and scrapping supplies, so our visitors had somewhere to sleep. This is what happened, a scrapbook page with some chenille on it!! My mum hand knitted the cute little cardi for Grace, I love the flowers and tiny buttons on it, she has grown out of it now. The ticket and the pearls are from Craft Queen. I can't pack up the mess now as I have some more ideas piled on my desk, more scrapping to finish, before I pack it away, I'm so addicted!! Have a great day! Leah

lollishops

see that new little button on my sidebar? I have been accepted to open a shop with them! Exciting!, they will launch in November, lots of delicious goodies to look at. Make sure that you check the lollishops blog this weekend. Busy with school kinder, meetings and messages today, we have had a very lucky op shop week! I have only recently discovered how fun op shopping can be, 2 chenille bedspreads, one new little sleeping bag for Toby and 2 pairs of designer very cute jeans for Annah. (The gorgeous girl in the last post) all for under $10.00! I have probably told you that the chenille is very hard to come by now and the price difference is just huge, from $0 to $100+++! I hope to scrap a page or 2 tonight, so I can show you a picture in my next post. Leah

Fun!

This is my little niece Annah, she is visiting from New Zealand, we made some necklaces together on the weekend, Annah is wearing one that she created in this photo. They have gone to stay with another cousin for a few days, then will return to our place and we plan to make lots of things together! Thanks for visiting! Leah

Don't you love the way Harry stuck this to the front of the house to surprize dad?? Very exciting, we baked a very yummy banana cake.

We are about to go to the airport to pick up our Kiwi cousins, they will be visiting for 2 weeks, so I may not get much achieved craft wise!! We still have 10 tiny chickens, they are growing quickly and we expect our baby guinea pigs to arrive any day! Have a great weekend! Leah
